As a child I always dreamed of having a creative career, one which included my passions for music, food, singing and dancing while also helping others, but for a long time not feeling good enough to go after these dreams, and had serious limiting beliefs about my ability since a teenager. After a difficult time in school my self esteem was incredibly low. I had no idea what I would do when I left school, but after a few music courses, I found myself working in a bank and studying to be a financial advisor. Although, it began to feel like I was selling my soul to the devil. During this time I didn’t have a healthy relationship with food, I had gut and skin issues which were all getting me down, so I decided to study to be a nutritional therapist so I could heal myself and offer advice about food instead of money!! This felt so much more aligned with my soul! I graduated in 2011 but stayed working in the bank, while helping people with their nutrition, as I knew there was something else waiting for me.

In 2013 a customer in the bank informed about the natural chef course she did in California. Immediately I felt a spark light up inside me. I took a leap of faith and followed my creative heart. After 9 years in finance I left it behind and moved to California to attend the same holistic nutrition culinary school this customer had informed me about. I really landed on my feet and I felt it was intuition and synchronicity that helped guide me to following my true path, it felt incredible to follow my heart's desire to create and be in service to others. I will always remember the deep gratitude I felt every day cycling to school, I enjoyed every second of being there :) I soon realised my anger issues I had been struggling with all my life had diminished considerably. My relationship to myself and food became much healthier. Life just seemed much easier and I felt like I had developed better coping mechanisms, all because I was doing what I love. My soul was singing.

I got offered my dream job on arrival back to Ireland, where I set up a fresh food deli in the Hopsack health store. Cooking my own menu to nourish others felt so incredible, I couldn’t believe my luck!! During this time I went on a healing journey with my gut and managed to heal many of the digestive discomforts I was experiencing and the acne that had haunted me for years. I kept seeing clients for nutritional therapy and held my first ever yoga retreat during this time, which was beautiful.

After 4 years in this buzzing store, where I made incredible friends, I decided to embark on an adventure deep into the jungle, when I was offered the role of head chef at a magical healing centre in Costa Rica Farm of Life. My eyes were blown wide open when I witnessed the healings in all our guests. The combination of organic healing foods, connection to nature, movement, ecstatic dance, yoga, cacao ceremonies, green juices, meditation, singing, walking barefoot, clean water, learning to forgive and most of all the removal of stress from their lives was so powerful.

Some guests would only come for a week and feel incredible after it. Many others stayed a long time and encouraged the healing of many illnesses including diabetes, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, lupis, cancer, fibromyalgia and psoriasis. For me I had suffered from HPV virus and abnormal cells on my cervix for 14 years and put my full intention into healing this while I was there. It was one beautifully emotional journey but I am now still HPV free and my cervix healed naturally. This brought me so much faith in healing naturally and how we can find the inner healer in ourselves when the correct conditions are present. All the inner work I did at the farm made me realise how connected the mind and body are and how we can use our minds to help us to heal.

I wanted to bring a piece of Costa Rica back with me, and I found out that the family who were sharing this beautiful wonderful ceremonial cacao lived down the road from me so I went to live with them to learn all about the wonders of cacao.

This is when I felt so much more love and acceptance for myself and really wanting to step into my full power and awaken that inner creative force to the next level. I wonderfully brought back my love for music, singing and dancing. Cacao helped me drop my limiting beliefs about not being good enough and I started singing and playing the guitar again.

Since I arrived back in Ireland I have been sharing cacao, hosting ceremonies, wellness retreats and DJing at events. I am still nourishing people with healthy food and also bringing people together to awaken their own inner healers in them, with cacao, creativity, nutrition, song, dance, gratitude, forgiveness and helping people open their hearts and go after their dreams. I also trained to be a Shamanic Trance Dance Guide and Guardian and a Belief Coding® practitioner. I have finally fulfilled that dream of having the creative career with all my passions woven in and believe it’s possible for you too.
